What can women do anyway?

Donna S. writes:

Overheard today from a man living down the hall: "Why are there women on these Mission Trips? What can we really do?"

Well, mister, come to our work site and we'll show you how we help unload and load tools required for the day, how we sand drywall, prime walls, clean up, patch holes, repair mistakes... and that's not even mentioning our Queen of Caulk Mary Lee. Her caulk jobs are professional grade!

She said it's because of all those birthday cakes she decorated for her now-grown kids. Pastry bag, caulk gun. There are other cross-skills used by women: Cut a pattern, cut with a jigsaw.

If you want to go on a Mission Trip here, there's a job for you no matter what kinds of skills you have. Some are master carpenters and plumbers. Others are skilled at finding supplies.

And the women of our group did, after all, prepare that gentleman's dinner for him the night he wondered what women can really do on a Mission Trip.

Hello to ALL:
Who is this "Why women?" guy! Must be his first mission trip. Well, we'll pray for'm...just as we continue to pray for your safety, good health and buoyant spirits. It's evident that you've been blessed by 'Stella and that she's been blessed by God through you. What wonderful work God gives us to do...Say, have you seen any of those ugly snakes down there in Gulfport like we saw in NOLA?
Your Quackie Friend, Joan

Hey Team,
Sounds like that gentleman needs to accompany a Henderson County UMC Mission team for a couple of hours.
I'm just sorry we don't any ladies on our trip next week. Really doesn't sound like much fun, but I guess with the Lord's help, us old guys will survive.
Thank goodness for 2 ladies on a team from NJ that are going to do all the cooking next week.
More importantly, don't mess up things too bad so we won't have to straighten them out next week.
Seriously, we are praying for you daily, looking forward to having you home safely, just in time for another snow.
By the way if you have any heat or sunshine left over, put our names on it and leave it in the trailer.
God Bless all of you for what you are doing.
