We have endured a number of severe storms in Henderson in recent weeks and over the past year. Two of these storms have been described, in terms of rainfall, as the two greatest (or worst) in our community's recorded history.
But we know that what New Orleans and the Gulf Coast endured were far worse.
The Methodist churches of Henderson and Henderson County have joined together in Christian love and service to return to the Gulf Coast to help with the rebuilding of communities devastated by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005.
Our latest mission trip takes us to New Orleans from Oct. 7 to 14, 2006, where we endeavor to do God's work.
